Hope this update finds you all well and safe.

We have received an update via letter from the CCRC, as they promised back in October 2025. To summarise it lets us know that they have ‘reviewed the remaining trial material, worked through the appeal documents and reviewed material from the previous applications’. Since then, they have liaised with their forensic team and reviewed material obtained from the police.

They continue to say that ‘they have now received the case file from the forensic archive and will be undertaking a review of this material. These submissions will be subject to further analysis, and any necessary additional enquiries will be undertaken as required’.

They end their letter with ‘I will write to you again before the end of March 2026 to give you a further update. 

We are once again hopeful that they are being thorough, non biased and viewing all the case information with fresh neutral eyes.
